Techport Thirteen employees work hard each year servicing client needs, selling partner software, improving the company internally, keeping up with
the demands of their personal lives as caregivers, parents and spouses, and acting as volunteers in their communities for their favorite charities and non-profit
organizations. Such overall effort takes balanced energy and a passion to be a more complete person. We are very pleased to be able to highlight some of the personal
causes our employees supported this year within their work-life balance.
In 2011, employees volunteered with or donated to worthy causes such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the
United Way, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the
Greater Atlanta Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the
American Cancer Society. Techporters walked, ran, cheered, organized and donated their way to a better world around them, and for that, we at Techport Thirteen
could not be prouder of our peers.
When asked his thoughts on what giving back means to him, and how the support of Techport Thirteen has helped him, employee Jared Crowder, replied,
"Giving to those less fortunate is important, especially during the holidays. Having a company that encourages its employees to donate to a charity of their choosing
really means a lot."
Techport Thirteen employees will continue to be an example of generousity in 2012. Their charitable state of mind will endure.
If you share in this same state of mind, especially this time of year, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choosing. Simply visit
www.justgive.org to find a cause worthy of your resources.
From everyone at Techport Thirteen, we wish you and your loved ones the happiest of holiday seasons.

Lastly, while SC 6.2x may continue to meet some of your immediate needs, Techport strongly recommends that all HP customers migrate to
HP Service Manager 9.x. All
customers with valid HP SC 6.2x support contracts have upgrade coverage that provides for a replacement of their existing licenses with Service Manager 9.x.

The release of version 5.0 of the xMatters solution is
right around the corner. The current plan is to roll the release out to the on-demand users at the end of January. The Platform-as-a-Service users will be next, and
then xMatters will target specific operating systems and databases throughout the coming spring and summer.
Keep an eye on the xMatters Corporate Blog for specific announcements regarding the
release. The most recent blog entry raises the concept
of somewhat moving away from the Blackberry Browser Push technology, and towards more of an app-centric architecture.
Count on Techport Thirteen to keep you up to date
with the latest information about the new release, its new features, and how it can benefit your organization. As always,
we are available to answer your Alert Management-related questions.

...that if you run other web applications, other than the
HP Service Manager Service Request Catalog (SRC), in the same Tomcat instance under which SRC is being hosted, it is possible that your other web applications may not
function correctly. This may be caused by the <Context> entry that the SRC installation instructions ask you to insert in to the Tomcat server.xml file.
If this is happening within your environment, there is a workaround. Instead of putting the <Context> entry in the server.xml file, you can create a new src.xml file in the
..\conf\Catalina\localhost directory... for example, something like:
<Context path="/src" docBase="C:\sm\src-1.30" reloadable="false"></Context>
The name of the xml file (src.xml in this example), should match the name of the alias that you used in the context path. So in the example above, since we used
"/src", the xml file is therefore named src.xml. The docBase should point to the directory where you installed the SRC which should NOT be underneath the Tomcat webapps
folder per the SRC installation instructions.
